Lake Ingalls

Lake Ingalls is a gorgeous and popular in-and-out Alpine Lake Wilderness, close to the revered Enchantments. I went on a crisp sunny and clear day in September with hiking buddies Kelly and Lydia, when the larches had turned their most saturated gold and orange. The air was even warm enough to permit a quick and invigorating (skinny) dip in the Lake while the sun was still shining.

Though hiking and time with friends were the main goals of this trip, I wanted to share some images of this stunning part of the world. I highly recommend a fall hike if you have the time and energy! (It’s a relatively challenging 6-7hr round trip hike, so take lots of water or a device to filter at the lake!)
