Tara and Cody

Tara and Cody are wonderful friends who reached out to me to capture Tara in her full pregnancy beauty, along with some tender moments of them together. In addition to candid moments that capture the undeniable affection between these two, we also explored a playful boudoir style. I’m drawn to these for maternity shots—the beautiful sculptural elements of the pregnant female body is highlighted by the draping of cloth and the sensuality of poses.

Tara and Cody were both naturals in front of the camera, and having a pre-existing friendship further enabled the comfort and experimentation that result in evocative imagery.

Thank you Tara and Cody for inviting me to share this special day with you! It’s such an honor to be let into people’s homes and photograph people in very personal and intimate settings. Also fortunately baby August was delivered without complication and Tara and the family are happy and healthy, along with child #2 :)
